2013 BLOG
11-27-13
I get the feeling that 2013 will be a year that I look back on and wonder where it went. While the year started off with a bang performing 10+ shows each month, with nearly 20/month during the summer season, these past few months have been quite the opposite. I have never seen so many open dates on my schedule .

Music seems to have taken an unplanned backseat during this season of my life.As many of you know, I have been balancing 2 careers for more than a year now. While my career as Real Estate Agent has been insanely busy, the performance opportunities have begun to dry up. I can't remember a time when the shows were so infrequent (maybe when i first began). As time goes on and I learn to adapt to this new crazy life, I find that there is a definite conflict between careers. Finding balance in my life during this season has been very difficult. In real estate, I am forever trying to serve my clients the best that I possibly can; promoting for sellers, and researching for buyers. In music, I am forever trying to keep the song list fresh and remain relevant locally.
Onward and upwards from here...

May already?! Man, this year is flying by!
In music news, things always seem to be changing & 2013 is already proving to be no exception. January saw the end of my once weekly house spot at The Little Grille in Littleton. I loved this spot, but after more than a year, the economy finally squeezed hard enough for them to forsake the live music...at least temporarily (hopefully). I thank Scott & Camilla immensely for their commitment to me and for the great opportunity! I continue to stay busy at several spots though, including The Creamery in Danville, VT (where I'm treated like family), The Beal House Inn in Littleton, NH (where the room is second to none) and Rosa Flamingo's in Bethlehem, NH (where I never know what kind of night I'm in for!). This year has also brought me back to a couple of old favorites including Crawford's Restaurant at The Grand Summit Hotel in Bartlett, NH, and The Knotty Shamrock in Northfield, VT. Both great rooms! With Summer just around the corner, weddings and private parties are also beginning to fill the calendar. With the beautiful weather comes the outdoor gigs. Lots of fun...as long as you have a free hand to swat the mosquitos and black flies!
I'm already stocking up on the bug spray...
While music has ramped down slightly...My real estate profession has been ramping up!
I have closed a few deals, and the inventory is starting to pile up.
I think this might actually be the year that I get some traction in this profession...
